Mann Packing Co., Inc. (Mann) announces a recall of a number of products due to a high risk of infection with Listeria monocytogenes virus.
Listeriosis is a serious disease, but it can be prevented and treated.
Pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems, such as those with immunodeficiency due to HIV/AIDS, leukemia, cancer, kidney transplantation, and steroid therapy, who are at highest risk for severe listeriosis, should not consume high-risk foods.
If you want to help children in need but don't have the financial opportunity — you could become a volunteer, participate in events or start a fundraiser. Find more information here.
Mann is doing a voluntary recall to alert retailers and customers to the dangers. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency have reported the potential dangers.
If you have products with an expiration date before October 11, 2019 - you must dispose of them.
